Dr Amatul Raafi Basir is our highly competent dentist with specialization in Orthodontics (MDS) from Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences, Bangalore. Formerly she completed her Bachelor’s Degree from M S Ramaiah College of Dental Sciences, Bangalore and it is worthy to note that she acquired a scholarship to both the colleges via competitive entrance exams
Dr Amatul Raafi is well versed with pediatric orthodontics with preventive and interceptive procedures. Her expertise involves timely treating children using functional appliances such as twin block and forsus or orthopedic appliances such as headgear, facemask and chin cup. She also routinely uses rapid maxillary expanders along with mini-implants or habit breaking appliances to help the jaws and dentition to grow in a better environment
Her expertise with Adult Orthodontics encompasses use of Invisalign, MBT Fixed Mechanotherapy (metal and ceramic braces), Damon self-lighting system and Lingual appliance. She is well qualified on treating patients with mini-implants/T.A.D.S , Infrazygomatic implants and Buccal Shelf implants for full arch Distalization, Protraction, Expansion, Gummy Smile Intrusion and Extrusion.
Dr Amatul Raafi has also worked as a multi disciplinary team member where along with the Cosmetic Dentist she performs Smile Design Makeovers, and Aesthetic Restorations.
